Merry Christmas from the Boyce Family!

To all the members of the Princess Anne....... I would like to personally wish you a Merry Christmas from my family to your family!  Enjoy the Holidays and I look forward to seeing you next year.  Merry Christmas!

Pop-pop course conditions

The course is still wet from all the rain. Unfortunately we will have to keep the carts on the path for today's tournament. I apologize for the inconvenience!

We mowed and rolled the greens, today so stimpmeter readings are in the 10.5 to 11 range.... Enjoy the European conditions during your round!

No sand???

We haven't filled in the bunkers with sand due to a part needed for our backhoe. The backhoe should be fixed next week....and  after all the holiday vacations we will get back to work and get the bunkers back in play. Thank you for your patience!

New Drainage

We installed some new drainage on #1 and #2 this week....

Merry Christmas

Each Christmas I ask vendors to donate hats, shirts and anything they can to put under our Christmas tree. As you can see we have an array of items for our guys.... Home Depot gift cards, honey ham gift certificates, water bottles, gloves, Gatorade and anything else they can use on the course. Each person walks out with at least 5 or 6 things..... The gifts are distributed by a raffle system so everyone has a fair shot at the gifts...After the gifts are distributed I provide a catered lunch and we enjoy our time before the holidays...

Hot box

We had to build a "hot box" to keep the polymer warm before it could be applied. We heated the polymer to at least 95 degrees before it could move into the field for application

The Beginning....

To increase member communication and insight to the daily activities of the Golf Course Maintenance Team I have decided to start a Blog that will give updates on the practices and procedures we impose on the golf course through the year.  It will be an informal yet professional look into our methods that will hopefully shed light into our team.  I will keep it light, yet informational to hopefully educate our membership. I will provide as many pictures as I can, keep to the point and hopefully have something to share weekly.   I hope you enjoy the Blog and be patient as I'm learning as I go!

Here are a few pictures from the Better Billy Bunker projects we are working on now.  We've been delayed due to a part needed for our backhoe...it is my my hope that after the first of the year we are past all the vacations, have are machinery working and the bunkers are being filled with sand!  I appreciate your patience during our progress!
